Day 3: Lee MacDougall | #HITSBC16

Hey guys!

And it's day 3 of my favourite music month.
I can't believe how much support we are getting online. It's the best feeling to receive messages saying that someone loves this idea and that they enjoyed the music as much as I do.

So if you have anything to say about this campaign, please do so.

What is #HITSBC16?
HITSBC16 stands for house in the sand's Birthday Countdown 2016.
Throughout the entire month of February, we will be celebrating this website's fourth birthday.
One artist/band a day is going to wish us a happy birthday and then perform a song exclusively for this sweet occasion.

Who is performing today?
Lee MacDougall.
He is a singer/songwriter originally from Grimsby, UK who is now based in Berlin, Germany.
To genrefy his music one would use folk-pop. To describe his style you'd have to use the fancier words; his personal song writing style is very vivid and creates relatable songs.

It was Kurt Cobain who made Lee ask his parents for a guitar but it was a friend who then showed him how to use the instrument.
Ever since he started playing, he hasn't stopped. Moving to London at the age of 21 was one of those defining moments in Lee's career.
He started playing at open mic nights and built himself a loyal fanbase.

What is special about this video?
It's in German. When I went backstage to film with Lee he told me he'd do a German rap medley. I remember being completely confused and then completely impressed by his fantastic German. Even if you don't understand all the German bits, I'm sure you'll love this performance we filmed before Lee supported Jamie Lawson in Stuttgart last November.

So here we go, please enjoy Lee MacDougall's tribute to German rap music!

Where can we find Lee MacDougall online?
Website | Twitter | Facebook | Soundcloud | YouTube | Instagram

Who do we need to thank?
Lee himself, of course! It was really lovely to film this performance and it was so easy to arrange this little session which is very much appreciated.
Big up's Lee, keep it up that way!

What can we do now?
If you enjoyed this article, please help us reach more people by sharing it along with the hashtag #HITSBC16.
Everybody who uses the hashtag on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram has the chance to win something amazing once the countdown is over.

I hope you enjoyed day 3!
