Day 20: Jess Kemp | #HITSBC16

Hey guys!

It's day 20 and in my opinion, we're too far into this countdown already.
I can't believe we've already shared 19, now 20, incredible performances with you.

We're about to start the last week of this year's countdown, so let's make the most of it!

What is #HITSBC16?
HITSBC16 stands for house in the sand's Birthday Countdown 2016.
Throughout the entire month of February, we will be celebrating this website's fourth birthday.
One artist/band a day is going to wish us a happy birthday and then perform a song exclusively for this sweet occasion.

Who is performing today?
Jess Kemp.
She is a singer/songwriter from Manchester, UK.
Her sound marches into the Acoustic direction with light sprinkles of Folk and Pop.

With influences such as Amy MacDonald, Alanis Morisette and Hayley Williams, it's no surprise that her songs carry attitude, tell stories and are relatable.

Jess' talent and her work ethic has brought a several airplays on shows such as BBC Introducing.
Watch out for her upcoming releases, you're in for a treat!

What is special about this video?
It's very close and personal, it's simple yet it's anything but boring.
It shows how you don't need special effects or fancy recordings in order to transport emotions to the listeners.

Now, go and enjoy Jess Kemp performing her song "Stars" for us!

Where can we find Jess Kemp online?

The absolutely lovely Jess for being super spontaneous and recording this performance for us.
I can't wait to hear more of your music, Jess!
