Get To Know: Plastic Barricades

 Hey guys,

The 'Get To Know' features are back!
For those of you who are new to the game - this is some kind of a basic interview.
The questions are really simple, and basic, and help the artists to introduce themselves to you, the wonderful readers.

Today Plastic Barricades from London take the mic!
Enjoy!

Who are you?
Romantic and honest, gloomy and curious, melodic and melancholic, Plastic Barricades chronicle live in the trouble yet fascinating XXI century with painstaking sincerity, asking questions and trying to find the answers. Inspired and influenced by almighty Radiohead, Oasis, Coldplay, Muse, Keane, Razorlight, Nirvana and many others, trio loves to experiment with styles, sound and approach.

Based in North-West London, Plastic Barricades are Dan Kert on guitar, keyboards and vocals, Daniele Borgato on bass and Frazer Webster on drums.

How would you describe your music?
Shimmering bass and ringing guitars
Meaningful lyrics healing your scars
Heart-breaking beat put on repeat
Mystical keyboards make us complete
Curious, happy, honest and sad
Future of mankind makes us gloomy and mad
Don't try to run, nowhere to hide
There is no escape from our little Plastic Tribe!

What does music mean to you?
Music is limitless way of self-expression, it is an outlet for emotions and diary for ideas, universal language and the best way of communication. Music makes you feel, think and act. It is essential. Like breathing.

Is there a reason why you started making music?
Reason? Probably not. Let's just say we all had a strong urge to create and to make people around us happy.

What have you released?
Plastic Barricades have released 3 EPs, all of them are available exclusively on www.plasticbarricades.eu. The latest single "Shine!" was released in the end of March to critical acclaim and rave reviews. Available on iTunes, Google, Amazon, Spotify, Soundcloud and all other online outlets, the song is an ode to self-improvement and taking chances in the world where it is very easy to get lost.

What is coming up?
It will be a very busy summer for the band, including second single "Masterminds" release (and, of course, a massive launch party gig in London), some summer festivals, a bit of touring around UK and album launch in August.

Something people should know about you?
All our bright ideas, provoking thoughts and rebellious moods found their place in our songs, they are the essence of who we are and what is interesting about us. Although, if you go to www.plasticbarricades.eu and click BAND, you can find some peculiar details about all the band members. Check it out!
