Cover The HITS #5: Robbie Cavanagh ft. Demi Marriner

Hey guys!

With today's video we are kicking off our third week of Cover The HITS.
As always, time flies and it blows our minds - but that's old news.

The further we are getting into this series, the more I realise how much fun this actually is.
Since all artists get to pick their songs themselves, it's always a complete surprise for us when we receive the videos.
So the behind the scenes atmosphere is an absolute blast.

Just to make sure you know what Cover The HITS is about, let us explain:
We love cover versions, so here we are - showcasing eight exclusive covers throughout the month of October.

You'll find a new video each Wednesday and Saturday, performed by artists we truly believe in.

To help us make this series a big (and maybe recurring) feature, we'd love for you to share it with your friends by using the hashtag #CoverTheHITS on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

Today we have the fabulous Robbie Cavanagh and Demi Marriner here to surprise us with a cover.

Robbie Cavanagh is a singer/songwriter from Manchester, UK.
His music can be genrefied as Americana as most of his songs are guitar and vocal based - yet there's more to him than that.

His album "The State Of Maine" consists of handcrafted, storytelling and relatable songs presented as interesting and lively tracks.

The musician keeps releasing fantastic songs as well as touching music videos and is gigging his way through the UK.
On February 24th Robbie released his new single "Godsend", which he previously performed for Mahogany Sessions, as the first single off of his brand new record "To Leave / To Be Left" which is out now.

We simply cannot wait for you to watch their cover of Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like A Woman".
Every time we watch it, we can't help but sing along with the biggest smiles on our faces.

Gig Photos: Angus & Julia Stone at Liederhalle, Stuttgart

Hey guys!

One thing I've learned in 2017 (so far), is that you stumble upon the greatest things, when you are active and grab opportunities when you can.

The way I used to run house in the sand was really focused on certain plans and not looking left or right.
Sometimes, that's exactly how you need to handle things in order to get to a certain level.

But honestly, it's so much better to look left and right.
I can quite literally save you from being run over.
(Yes, that's a metaphor, not a traffic warning.)

So for the last few months of 2017, I've challenged myself to only look left and right and forget about all things centered.
And so far I'm loving it.

One thing on the list, was to photograph shows I wouldn't necessarily focus on.

James Blunt last week was the first one of those, followed by Angus & Julia Stone.
It wasn't that I didn't like their music, no- I just didn't know it.

But I went, I took photos and I fell in love with their stage presence.

And I hope you'll enjoy the photos you're about to see.

If you do, come over and say hi to me on Twitter or Instagram.

Support Act: Isaac Gracie

Isaac Gracie is a singer/songwriter from London, UK.

When you do your research about this artist, you'll find a lot of praise - written by journalists, radio promoters and media people in general - all talking about how mesmerizing, yet simple his presence is.

And then you listen to his music and end up being completely stunned by the intensity and depth it offers.

When he walked on stage with his drummer and bassist, then grabbed his guitar and started playing - he had already gotten the attention from a very curious audience.
That attention stayed with him for the entire set - due to him practically hypnotizing everyone with his powerful performance.

It's only a matter of time until this guy isn't just an "insider tip" in the industry anymore, so watch out.

Headliner: Angus & Julia Stone

Angus & Julia Stone are a duo from Newport, Australia.

The siblings have been making music for years and have released multiple albums over the years.

Their Folk sound is nothing but absolutely beautiful.
It's one of those sounds that you'll be able to identify a few notes into the song.

I wasn't able to stay for the entire show, but I really wish I had been able to.
As a photographer, you spend the first three songs in the photo pit to document the show, so I actually spend three songs freaking out about how beautiful their backdrop and light show was.

The show was versatile, it was emotional and it was full on magical.
I really hope the photos below will allow you to understand just how stunning the entire set up was.
